What You Need To Know
There is upswing in the number of startups lately, which is mostly due to the positive economic situation, availability of technology as basic need, foreign investment and new generation interested in beyond 9 to 5 jobs. Startups are creating more jobs than many popular and legacy business sectors and these are spread into all walks of life, especially based on technology. Retail, Food, Education, Business support, Concierge services, etc are few to mention. These are improving the lives and standards of the society.
Everyone tend to have ideas in one form or other and believe that they would be game changers. However very few would drop everything they have at that moment and go after implementing their idea or realizing their dreams. Entrepreneurs are a bread of individuals who dare to accept the challenge and venture out to disrupt the existing system for good. Even though you need a solid idea and knowhow around it, most of the times a relevant qualification and experience would be helpful. Management or Technical or Accountancy degree from a reputed institution would be an added advantage when it comes to seeking funds from investors.

It takes all round skills and personality to build something from scratch, most often from your couch or a shared office. Qualification
Preferably a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of operation. Certification and Master’s degree would be an added advantage. It is preferred to have experience in the field. Also, it would help to attend / secure certification or training or seminars in Finance, Accounting, HR, etc.

Expected Salary
You would be your own boss. Hence the package and the timing depends on your shareholding, agreement and most importantly revenue of your business. Don’t expect much at initial stage as it takes at least 3-5 years for the business to see money.
